Playing our games
You can play without creating an account or providing a name or email address. Games may store your progress, personal best and preferences in your browser. Those saves stay on your device; this analytics integration does not upload them or provide cloud saves. Your browser may also cache game files so you can play offline.
You can remove local saves and cached files using your browser's site-data settings. Doing so can permanently remove your progress and preferences.
Your analytics choice
We ask whether you want to allow Google Analytics. Before you allow analytics, we do not load Google's analytics tag or send analytics events from the game. Declining analytics does not prevent you from playing.
A preference cookie named wwg_analytics_consent remembers acceptance or rejection for 180 days. It contains a choice, version and expiry time, not a visitor identifier. The choice is shared across wirthwhilegames.com and its game subdomains in the same browser. Browser restrictions or clearing site data may cause us to ask again.
Use Privacy settings on the website or in a game's menu, pause screen or footer to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future collection by our integration and removes analytics cookies that our site can access. It does not automatically erase data already sent to Google. Contact us about deletion requests; without identifying information, we may be unable to locate records belonging to a particular browser. Please do not send passwords or sensitive information.
What analytics measures
With your permission, Google Analytics uses browser identifiers and cookies, including _ga and related _ga_ cookies, to recognise returning browsers and measure sessions across our website and games. These identifiers are pseudonymous; the data is not fully anonymous.
We measure page visits, game launches from the lobby, new and resumed games, completed games and time spent playing. Play time excludes paused, help, hidden and unfocused periods. Thinking time while an unpaused game is visible is included. Game identifiers distinguish the games and separate them from the lobby.
Google also processes browser/device information, referral information and network information such as your IP address. We use approximate country reporting and disable granular location/device collection and Google Signals. Our integration strips URL query strings and fragments from the page and referral addresses it explicitly sends. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, free-text input, game saves, scores or individual moves to Google Analytics.
We use analytics to understand usage and improve our games. We disable advertising consent and personalisation in this integration and do not link this property to Google Ads. We do not sell the analytics data.
Our game does not keep a persistent queue of offline gameplay for later analytics upload. Blocking analytics, losing connectivity or declining permission means our reports may omit that activity.
Providers and retention
Google processes analytics data and may process it in countries outside your own. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites and apps.
Our intended configuration retains detailed user/event analytics for up to 14 months, without resetting user retention on new activity. Standard aggregate reports can remain available longer. The analytics tag requests a 180-day cookie lifetime without refreshing it on every visit; browser controls and Google implementation details can affect cookie availability.
Hosting and network providers necessarily receive request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website. They may retain operational/security logs under their own settings. Declining optional analytics does not prevent this hosting processing.
If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to send so that we can respond. We do not intentionally send support emails or their contents to Google Analytics.
Audience and changes
Our games are for a general audience and are not specifically directed at children. They do not require children or other players to supply names or contact details to play.
We may update this policy as the website or games change. Material changes to analytics purposes will require a fresh choice before the new collection begins.
